BC Packing Plant Info Session

November 26, 2018

Attend info session on how BC grain growers can participate in BC packing plant

The key to success in today’s market is to align all elements of the supply chain to bring the most benefit to the industry.

From cow/calf operators and dairy producers, grain growers, backgrounders and feedlot operators to the processing plant and the customer, working together is key to maximizing profitability.

How do we do this? The opportunity to build a federally inspected beef packing plant in BC is currently being explored. A plant in BC allows the industry to align all the partners in the supply chain in order to produce and market homegrown BC Beef—something we know consumers are looking for.

Businesses involved in the supply chain have the opportunity to contribute to this process and shape a plan that addresses their needs. This is an opportunity to better align the supply chain to meet the needs of BC consumers and customers to improve the long-term profitability and sustainability of the cattle industry in BC.

To learn more about this opportunity and how you can get involved, come out to a BC Packing Plant engagement session held:

Monday November 26    1 - 4 PM
Taylor Community Hall in Taylor, BC.
