Part of the Mission of the BC Grain Producers Association is to “Support and Connect Grain Producers in BC by Providing a Collective Voice”. The implementation of The “BC low Carbon fuel standard tax” that has recently come into effect in our region has been the top of mind of our association. As a board of directors, we have met with Local MLAs to bring our concerns forward and they have asked for additional numbers. We know in the business world that numbers speak louder than words, we are looking to our membership to collect data
on how these additional taxes along with the increased fuel costs are going to impact your agricultural operations. All information collected will remain anonymous, please send us information on your farm size (ac) and an estimated percentage or dollar value increase the cost of fuel will have on your farm. Any information provided will help the board of directors be better advocates for the Grain Sector in BC.
