You’re invited: Peace Living Lab Learning and Input Session
December 2nd, Rycroft Ag Centre
The partner groups putting together the Peace Living Lab proposal would like to invite you to an input and information session on Thursday, December 2nd at the Rycroft Community Centre. Coffee and sign-in starts at 11:15 am, the presentation begins at 11:30 am and lunch will be served as part of the day. Pre- registration is required to attend this meeting
The presentation will feature regenerative ag agrologist Daryl Chubb of Denovo Ag. Daryl works extensively with producers in AB and SK on transitioning their farms to regenerative practices, has extensive experience in conventional grain and livestock production, and also runs his own cow herd near Irricana. Daryl has spent time in the Peace, doing presentations and consulting with producers in the region.
Following the presentation, we will open up discussions on the Peace Living Lab proposal and ask for input from producers who have been trying regenerative practices and those who are wondering how to get started. Daryl will be part of the discussion and offer input on ways to best put the trials together.
11:15 am- coffee, muffins and sign-in
11:30 am- Presentation: Building Soil Health in the Peace with Daryl Chubb
12:30 pm- Lunch: beef on a bun
1:00 pm- Discussions with Daryl Chubb and Living Lab partner groups, including: measurements, regenerative ag transitions, advice for trying things on-farm and in trials.
Ideally, I’d like to have numbers by the end of the week to give for food, but I know that is short notice, so if by our meeting on Friday November 26, you could each give me a rough number and then we’ll confirm by Monday, the 29th, that would be great.
