The BC Grain Producers Association (BC Grain) is a non-profit, producer-led organization that represents grain and oil seed growers in Northeast British Columbia. The purpose of the BC Grain Producers Association (BCGPA) is to improve the viability of the grains and oilseed industry in the BC Peace River Region. Our mission is to support and connect grain producers in BC by providing a collective voice, information, and regionally relevant research. Our goal is to support Producer lead research and innovation in the Grain Sector. All efforts of the association are to build upon our vision that Grain Producers in BC are profitable, sustainable, and recognized as providers of safe, high-quality food.
Our organization is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working Harvest Sample Driver part-time (ONCALL) to communicate with our field Producers come harvest season (August to October). This position will be within the FSJ BC and Dawson Creek BC area to collect grain samples from weigh wagon and record data using the BCGPA’s provided truck, cell phone, and weigh wagon. This Job will be an on-call position on weekdays and weekends must be available at all hours if possibly. This job will only run from August to October months or until all fields have been harvested.
Qualifications: Must have a valid driver’s license, able to work in Canada and speak fluent English. Strong communication and teamwork skills, and ability to be on call weekdays and weekends as required. This is a part-time on-call position offering a competitive hourly rate. The start date will be flexible due to weather and when crops are ready to be harvested estimated time could be as early as mid-July to late-October.
