New Traceability Programs

Two new BC funding programs to help improve traceability in agriculture, agri-food and seafood businesses in BC have been launched.

The Traceability Adoption and Traceability Value Chain programs will be funded under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP), a federal-provincial-territorial initiative. The goal is to increase the adoption of traceability systems, practices, technologies and infrastructure across the agrifood and seafood sectors, enabling businesses to meet existing and emerging market and regulatory requirements.

Traceability Adoption:  

Traceability Adoption – At a glance
• For individual agriculture, agri-food and seafood businesses.
• 70% cost share funding up to $16,000
• Eligible items include consultant fees, traceability system hardware and software, staff training

Traceability Value Chain:

Traceability Value Chain – At a glance
• For agriculture, agri-food, seafood industry associations or a group of two or more agriculture, agri-food or seafood businesses connected along a supply chain.
• 70% cost share funding up to $50,000
• Eligible items include consultant fees, traceability system hardware and software, staff training
